Galway to Killarney

Tuesday we started off with a delicious full Irish breakfast  onto the bus in light rain.  There was a feel of fog in the air – made the trip out to the Cliffs of Moher. What might have been the highlight of our Irish trip was not to be – could not see 3 m in the heavy, dense (& windy!!) fog. Oh well …c’est la vie. Rather interesting as the Cliffs of Moher were used as the ‘Cliffs of Insanity in the “Princes Bride We’ve added a poster picture to let you see what they do actually look like.

As soon as we moved in from the coast, of course it cleared off. Saw an interesting castle & replica town.  Kind of cool. Even saw a man working on repairing / maintaining a thatched roof.

Some more sight-seeing of the Irish 30 shades of green.  Made our way into Killarney, lovely little town.  Marvelous supper then we went for a stroll to scope out a restaurant for tomorrow night – where did the last 25 years go? We have a lot of activities planned for tomorrow depending on the weather – cross your fingers!!

More to follow …
