Isle of Skye to Glasgow

Our day started with a quick taxi ride to Dunvegan Castle with 4 other members of our tour group with McLeod family ties. After a After a brief attempt to storm the gates we were able to get some lovely ‘covert’ photos. What a thrill !!!

Rejoined our tour group to travel to the south tip of the Isle of Skye where we then travelled by ferry then train back on mainland Scotland. It is a steam train called the ‘Jacobite’, it’s sister is the Hogwarts Express.

Back on the coach and on down to Glasgow with memorable stops at Glen Coe and Loch Lomond. What incredible scenery!

Rolled into Glasgow, checked into the Marriott and a late supper, another unforgettable day in Scotland.
More to follow …

  1. The engine is a LMS Stanier Class 5 4-6-0. I'd like to see that someday.
